Family
Therapy
When working with families, I take into account that each family system is unique, shaped by individual experiences, cultural and societal norms, and varied communication styles. I have worked extensively with both parents and children. This knowledge base allows me to act as a bridge, fostering better communication and understanding between family members of different age groups. Recognizing the different perspectives and voices within a family is key to understanding the dynamics that play out in everyday life.
I start with a family systems approach to connect with each member. Then I create a customized therapeutic plan that addresses each family’s unique situation and personality. My role also involves providing valuable insights and psychoeducation into family dynamics and patterns of interaction. I help family members understand that setbacks are a normal part of life and the therapeutic process, and equip them with the skills and coping strategies to navigate changes in the family dynamic.
